This is on my mind

Meet Rupert! I finally finished giving him a face and filling him full of love.

I wanted him to have an appreciative home but wasn't sure where he would go.  Last night I got a call from an old friend from my childhood.  She is very ill and I thought a little surprise might cheer her up so Rupert has been nominated for the job!  I haven't seen my friend in years and I would like very much if you kind people could send some well wishes along with him.  Her name is Stacy.  You can leave a comment here or send me an email however you would like.  I will copy your words and put them in the box with Rupert.  A nod to Brendie for the name!  Thanks so much for stopping by and as always  much gratitude to Rhonda at:

Rhonda if you are listening....I'm going to take another step toward sustainability and make my own liquid laundry detergent   soap ~ thanks!

Rupert dear,

Before you leave, fill your little heart with all the love and kind wishes that being sent your way. You have a very special mission. One that only Sis could imagine and carry out. You'll find Stacy with open arms and heart. Ready to accept your gift of warm wishes.

I, too, have a mission for you. Stacy likes to cook and is holding onto what I hear are some pretty special recipes. You, Sir, are too watch and listen closely. I will pay for for the lemon pie and chocolate cake recipes. Once you secure them....negotiations to follow :-)
Mums the word to Stacy now!

Oh Stacy, what a special little gift that Sis is sending you. I hope that you enjoy all the notes and can feel the warmth. Maybe you'll be so inspired you'll feel like baking.....

Rupert is a wonderful little bear Mary, you've done such a good job of creating him. His face is so sweet and he looks so eager to go and live with Stacy ... his little arms are open, ready to give many hugs.
He looks quite ready for his trip too, all rugged up in a nice warm scarf.
My very best get well wishes to you Stacy.
When you hold Rupert you'll know you have a one-of-a-kind little bear made by a very special and caring person.

A big Hurrah! And thank you all so much. I am certain Stacy will be very touched by your comments. I will put a blog post up before I send Rupert off on his journey.

So far we have had comments from at least 5 countries and please know if you haven't commented I will send your note along even if it doesn't get in the box with Rupert. I will make sure Stacy receives it!

I'm really impressed with you folks!
