This-is-on-my-mind

In the corner of my dining room I have my "babies" swaddled for the winter .......

Come back and join me with the next batch of wine!  And thanks to Rhonda for allowing us to meet.

Aw they all look so nice and snug too!
Do they make those gurgling sounds every now and then, like when beer is being made? :D

Hi Mary.
Thank you for visiting my blog.
I too am a farm girl and take things a little slower, or maybe I'm just slower???????
You have quite an operation going there!

Thanks for visiting everyone!

@Kimmie I will probably start the next batch over my Xmas break, but I will post some informational things in the meantime just in case someone wants to join in!

@ Susan the sound is more like a plop when the gas escapes through the airlock. Music to my ears!

@Marlyn ~ glad to meet you! FYI I'm not a wino :) I just hadn't made any for awhile because I had plenty on hand, and the winter is the best for fermentation temperatures here.

Oh, I'll have to bookmark you and come back to read more about your wine making. It looks good. I love that you've wrapped them up nice and cosy.

Hi Mary,

I hope your 'babies' mature well over the winter.
Bet you're looking forward to their graduation.

Thanks for stopping by my blog :-)

A very interesting pic. I have never seen how wine is actually made. I will be reading more to see how it turns out.
